PWI Engineering is leading Engineering and Energy Consulting Company in Philadelphia, PA and has an opening for an Energy Specialist that will concentrate on Energy Procurement.

 

Our Engineering Firm is a unique in that we provide Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Design, as well as Energy Consulting, Utility Procurement and Grant Writing Services. Our Energy Consulting Group works hand in hand with our MEP design team to bring viable solutions to our client. The successful candidate will support our efforts with our growing utility procurement service as well as assist with our other energy consulting offerings.   

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·          Assist Client Managers bid and negotiating natural gas/electric supply agreements on the behalf of our clients.

·          Monitoring the energy markets daily and providing client communications

·          Cultivate and manage relationships with utility suppliers and stay a top of new programs and trends

·          Manage data in spreadsheets and databases to determine energy savings and benchmarks and collaborate with Energy Engineers as required.

·          Manage current contracts and deadline for renewals

·          Work with clients to provide energy market advice and assistance and promote participation in energy programs and incentives initiatives.

·          Be able to work in a team atmosphere, and willing to collaborate on continuous improvement of operations year after year.

·          Present to large and small groups on the benefits of our programs.

·          Demonstrated leadership skills including effective written, oral, listening, and presentation/platform communication skills/conflict resolution skills; the ability to use tact, courtesy, and discretion while working effectively with a variety of sensitive, difficult or confrontational issues; the willingness and ability to learn and train others.

·          Demonstrated extensive analytical and administrative skills required for such tasks as preparing, monitoring and analyzing data.

·          Analytical, organizational, and conceptual skills to handle various complex ideas, projects, and programs.

·          Demonstrated ability to remain flexible in a demanding work environment and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.

 

Knowledge Requirements:

·          Working knowledge of engineering, and business principles and theories normally acquired through a college level curriculum resulting in a bachelors degree.

·          Working knowledge of Renewable Energy technologies

·          Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Access 

·          Experience in entering information in tracking systems/databases with personal computers.

 Education and/or Experience

·         Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.

·         Knowledge or experience of the electric or natural gas utility industry, conservation and energy management.

·         Must be self-motivated, organized and have an ability to prioritize workload.

·         Must be flexible to handle a wide work variety and work at a fast pace.
