Energy Risk Analyst – London – £35
Our client is a well known major oil and gas player with a strong presence within energy marketing and trading. Through increasing headcount they are expanding their Risk Team covering Gas and Power.
The role will empower you with responsibility to manage Risk analysis, PL modelling, MtM, VaR and other risk measurables for the gas and power trading portfolio. A high-profile role, you will be working alongside traders and other internal commercial teams on the trading floor to ensure that all aspects of their Risk Indicators are covered. This will allow you to influence key risk methodologies within the company, and recommend risk control measures to traders and senior risk managers.
This opportunity within an expanding trading floor can lead to long-term career development and a fantastic insight and exposure into an Energy Trading Environment through daily interaction with the traders.
To be a successful candidate, you must have:
- Education to a degree in a numerical or economics discipline
- Experience of working within a similar Energy Middle Office environment, or Risk Analytics role
- Excellent understanding of theUKphysical energy trading market, infrastructure and key players.
- Experience of Excel and other modelling techniques, is essential.
