Senior Compliance Officer | International Trading House
A role as a Senior Compliance Officer with my client – an international trading house based in Singapore, is available immediately.
The client is boosting its Compliance team, and looking out for an experienced candidate to join its team. The candidate will have a regional remit and will work closely with the traders, and Head of Compliance. It is a great opportunity for candidates who are looking for challenging job assignments and greater career exposure to join a leading firm with extensive presence across the globe.
My ideal candidate would have strong regulatory knowledge, along with a good understanding of different product classes.
Other requirements for Senior Compliance Officer include:
- 5-10 years of relevant working experience;
- Degree in Economics, Business, Law or similar;
- Excellent knowledge of local rules and regulations;
- Background in regulatory, audit, accounting, consultancy or financial services; experience with Operations Risk Management processes a plus;
Day-to-day responsibilities for Senior Compliance Officer include:
- Ensure that the Entity abides by global and local regulations and policies including monitoring trading behaviour and reporting obligations;
- Liaise with all Asia-Pacific trading venues (Stock Exchanges and multilateral trading facilities) and regulators;
- Coordinate investigations, inquiries and audits, both internal and external (regulators, Exchanges)
- Advise on and implement current and new trading rules regulations (i.e. on flagging and tagging of orders, on proper market conduct), and timely/consistently documenting these in the local compliance manual;
