Energy Trading Pricing and Risk Analyst required – London recruitment
They have been growing their presence in the European Gas and Power trading markets steadily for the past 5 years and are now looking for a Pricing and Risk analyst to join the London office to support the trading function on a day to day basis.
Purpose:
- Perform calculation of costing and provide market prices to the trading teams
- Provide timely and effective support and expert knowledge to the trading Teams.
- To undertake data analysis to monitor the validity of current pricing methodology and practices
- To analyse the gas markets to assess the risks to the business.
- Daily deal validation of trade blotters and the deal capture system as well as reconciliations as required
- Provision of risk reporting to both internal and external stakeholders
- Support the Risk Manager in continually reviewing the risk premium methodologies
- To create and develop Excel and Access models to improve pricing processes
Knowledge skills and Experience:
- Graduate calibre
- Energy markets experience
- Working knowledge of energy pricing would be advantageous
- An individual looking to enter a Front Office or Risk Management facing role
- Advanced Excel and Access as well as intermediate VBA
- A self-starter with high levels of time management and attention to detail
- Commercial awareness - astute perception with good commercial and business analyst skills
- Analytical background of energy markets in the UK is desirable,
