Engagement Officer

My client, a national organisation specialising in work-based training, corporate training, and apprenticeships – are looking for an Engagement Officer to join their Sales team in Nottingham City Centre.

The purpose of the role is to increase the placement of candidates within apprenticeships, build relationships with employers, promoting the services offered through effective sales techniques and assist the company to grow.

Responsibilities
Generate new business and maximise potential opportunities through effective sales techniques and client relationship building.
To achieve, as a minimum, the daily monthly targets for outgoing calls to candidates and clients.
Ensure all leads and referrals are followed up promptly and effectively.
Ensure that all records, paper-work and compliance is updated and adhered to at all times
Promote and negotiate terms and conditions of business to validate sales conversions.
Obtain accurate job descriptions from clients in respect of the apprenticeship vacancy along with flexible person specifications.
Ensure candidates are fully briefed on the employer and the opportunity prior to interview and to obtain their feedback post interview and provide constructive feedback obtained from the employer.
Ensure that each and every candidate is fully screen and assessed for their suitability against the clients’ requirements and the person specification.
You must be able to build a rapport and establish lasting relationships with clients and candidates alike and be confident in liaising with young people. You may be asked to represent the organisation at careers fairs and networking events from time to time and therefore you should be professional with a smart business appearance.

You must have at least 1 years' continuous experience in a targeted sales role, preferably for a Government-funded training organisation or related to apprenticeship placement schemes. Experience of building new client relationships from self-generated leads is advantageous but not essential. You should be able to demonstrate the achievement of targets and KPI's and therefore be constantly motivated and tenacious.

Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous however candidates with a background in telesales, insurance, estate agency, account management or recruitment will also be considered as will candidates who have consistently achieved strict KPI’s and targets.

On offer is a very competitive basic salary in a fun and competitive working environment. Working hours are 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday with up to 27 days annual leave (dependent upon length of service) together with a company pension scheme and childcare vouchers.
