PMO Analyst/Resource Manager

Investment Banking - PMO Analyst - London - Up to £450 per day

Investment Bank are currently seeking the services of a PMO Analyst to effectively manage and forecast customer demand and resources within our IT division. Reporting to the Head of the Systems Planning Department the candidate will be taking a proactive role in managing demand and supply of resources and the smooth management of the processes supported by a Resource Analyst.

The successful candidate will have the following experiences:

• Manages the application and further development of our systematic demand management framework to define and deliver the demand portfolio, in support of specific business strategies and objectives ensuring all demand channels are managed and controlled efficiently and in line with corporate standards and procedures
• Provide insight into customer demand trends and profiles as well as demand drivers to relevant through effective monitoring and reporting frameworks and in close collaboration with our Business Relationship Managers, our Planning Finance group and technical teams
• Facilitates scoping and business priority setting for customer demand based on a clear understanding of cost, risk, inter-dependencies, and impact on existing business activities, enabling measurement and objective evaluation of potential changes and the benefits to be realised. Proactively supports in the regular review of portfolios and related processes (e.g. budget allocation)
• Obtains formal agreement from senior stakeholders and recipients to the scope and requirements, plus the establishment of a base-line on which delivery of a solution can commence.
• Acts as quality gate for all demand channels ensuring accurate data and timeliness of the information provided. Ensure that all adjacent processes (e.g. BRM, Project Management, Change Management) are adequately providing inputs to or being provided with outputs from the Demand Management process
• Provide management information, as required, to the ESO leadership team, Business Relationship Managers or Technical Managers and other stakeholders; issues reports to management on the effectiveness and efficiency of demand management process.
• Ensures that an effective resourcing model aligned to strategic and operational plans is in place and that the operational teams adhere to agreed operational plans (covering permanent, contractor and CFS workforce).
• Assess and plan future resource requirements based on demand pipeline and current performance. Sets and implements the medium term strategy for recruitment and resourcing, including the maintenance of the ESO resource plan. Prepares manpower requirements forecasts with the aid of line managers and the ESO leadership team. Ensures that this integrates with the staff development and performance management strategies. Together with ESO Finance Management and other functions plays an active role in the assessment and calculation of costs associated with resourcing, people or transformation related processes and tasks.
