Engineer/Technician Job in Niagara Falls 14305, New York US
Qualifications and Education
· Ability to read and understand mechanical drawing and electrical schematics.
· Competent understanding of electrical wiring and instrumentation.
· Strong mechanical aptitude.
· Must be highly proficient in electronic and mechanical troubleshooting.
· Must be able to work independently.
· Computer application knowledge, including internet applications and Microsoft office is required and a knowledge of a recognized drafting package (eg AutoCAD) will be a plus.
· PLC experience is a plus
· Two year associate technical engineering degree or a BSEE, BSME.
· Experience with industrial metal detection systems, inspection systems, X-Ray systems, camera or laser technology is a plus.
· Experience in servicing, installing, commissioning, maintaining equipment in the recycling industry is a plus.
Job Requirements
· Travel to customer sites to install, maintain, commission and service company equipment.
· Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electronic and mechanical equipment such as metal detectors, separating and sorting equipment.
· Work on a wide variety of equipment to set-up and adjust mechanical and electrical equipment based on customer’s application.
· Work with customers to solve application problems and adapt equipment to these situations, if possible.
· Train customers in the proper operation and maintenance of the company’s products.
· Maintain and service our customers to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
· Ability to travel extensively in North and South America.
· Ability to fill out service report forms and expense reports in a timely manner.
