Enterprise Architect Job in New York, New York US
Technical Skills
•10+ years of technology management and leadership experience, with at least 2 years of hands-on systems architecture experience in a complex, multi-vendor systems environment.
•Solid understanding of systems, business, data, and technical architecture disciplines, including exposure to such key methodologies and approaches as Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Business Process Management (BPM), data/information modeling, and high-availability/high-performance systems design.
•Strong understanding of Enterprise Risk systems, including risk management functions, risk measurement approaches, and transactional and reference data, with at least 2 years of experience in Risk systems development or architecture.
•Ability to establish an appropriate business-aligned strategic architecture vision for a major functional area, avoiding undue focus on incremental legacy system improvements and introducing and driving radical changes where appropriate.
•Strong familiarity with both traditional and agile software development lifecycles.
Non Technical Skills
•Ability to direct the day-to-day work of a small team of senior architects.
•Ability to establish strong working relationships with business, operations, and technology partners at all levels of the organization.
•A broad understanding of the Enterprise Risk function in the Financial Services context is a plus, including business and regulatory drivers, methodologies, processes, products, etc. In the absence of Enterprise Risk experience, candidate must demonstrate a proven ability to rapidly ramp up in new business areas.
