Position Description:
Responsible for support of Enterprise Data Management (EDM) solutions, such as data governance and data quality standards, data stewardship, and external regulatory statistical reporting.

Position Requirements:
•Researches Information Management best practices and drafts data governance policies and principles to ensure we are maximizing our data and information.
•Obtains approvals for addition of and changes to policies and principles.
•Ensures efforts to retire legacy systems by ensuring requirements are included in new development efforts, and facilitate the transition of business and system users of legacy applications to new system.
•Ensures the continued identification and proliferation of enterprise terms and metrics across the organization by implementing the Farmers Enterprise Dictionary (FED) approved definitions, and by bringing consistency to enterprise wide metrics.
•Ensures metadata needs throughout the organization by reviewing metadata definitions for accuracy and completeness, and ensures that the enterprise metadata repository is connected to all metadata sources that add value to the organization.
•Socializes ABC policy and consults with project teams (usually IT) to facilitate implemention. Reviews business requirements, technical design documents and architecture documents for adherence to ABC policy. Elevates concerns as found to EDM Management.
•Works with each function to identify appropriate cleansing rules per target system to ensure most efficient and effective method of identifying data quality issues.
•Works with business and IT to identify root cause, and solutions for improving the quality of data used in analytics and reporting
•Ensure Testing processes are appropriate for all downstream validations, including financial and compliance reporting and business analytic marts and repositories, and ensure that validation requirements apply to all projects, enhancements, changes, fixes, etc. in order to sustain accurate and complete data for existing systems and applications.
•Communicates training policy to each data consumer function (e.g. PM, Analytics teams, Finance/accounting, Underwriting…etc) and works with University of Farmers representatives to implement concrete learning objectives and training programs per EDM policy. Occasionally, this may include enterprise data tool related instruction.
•Works with multifunctional task groups and develops business requirements for initiatives that affect the flow of information within the organization.
•Develops business requirements for new reports and analyses of statistical information.
Stays current on technology and professional development.
•Promotes safety at all times and complies with safety/ergonomic standards as outlined in relevant company published manuals.
•Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Attributes:
•Accounting degree required with 3 Years or more Accounting experience; PC Accounting experience preferred
•Pursuing CPA designation preferred but not required
•Experience in handling complex data analysis.
•Experience in project management
