Technical Production Support Team
The Core Technical Services (CTS) Group is responsible for maintaining product and technical expertise in all of the Enterprise products and services and form, the nucleus of the Enterprise technology development and innovation.

The Technical Production Support team works to provide Bloomberg¿s top tier clients globally with the best customer service available through complex debugging, problem solving, issue analysis and internal and external reporting on UNIX, Linux and Windows environments. The team will debug and solve issues in areas including software, hardware, and networking and additionally provides publication of technical documentation and notifications regarding our technology. In addition, the team will help with setting up and configuring of software, at times helping to test the software in a production environment. This involves working to coordinate with other groups in EPS and across the Bloomberg business. The team manages client issues and follows through to resolution, while directing client feedback and providing a clear internal understanding of the client business impact for production issues.

Working hours: Sunday -Thursday, 10:00AM - 7:00PM

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems/Technology or equivalent experience
- Proficient knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Windows server, scripting and networking
- Knowledge of the software life cycle has well as debugging complex applications
- Excellent analysis and problem solving skills
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a technical emphasis
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain a professional demeanor when handling complex client facing issues
- Client focused with the ability to understand, anticipate and effectively respond to customer needs
- Knowledge of a scripting language like Perl, Python or KSH shell is a plus
- Knowledge of Financial Data is a plus
