Enterprise Technology Leader

Job Description An Enterprise Technology Leader is required to help sell, plan, and lead technology projects in the financial sector. The role is technological, but with a strong element of thought leadership and communication. The key roles that the successful applicant will wind up working in are: 

? Technology consultancy pre-sales 

? Technology team leadership 

? Solution architecture 

 

Skill Set The key qualities required are: 

? A track record in delivery of medium-to-large, innovative technology projects. 

? Strong communication skills, including communication with clients/stakeholders and communication with technology peers. 

? The ability to understand, own, document, and sell a technological approach or plan. 

 

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of some of the following technology areas: 

? Enterprise data systems, including databases, data fabrics, key/value stores. 

? Enterprise service systems, including ESBs, messaging formats, market data systems, and SOA technologies. 

? Quantitative and mathematical systems, including environments such as Matlab, R, and Numerix. 

? Business Intelligence, including aggregation, OLAP, ETL and reporting systems. 

? Large-scale computational infrastructure, including grid, cloud and cluster systems. 

Background 

The candidate’s background should be in the financial sector, including investment banking, insurance, asset management or trading. Financial domain knowledge of such subjects as trading systems, risk systems, risk methodology, or market data is a strong plus. 

The ability to engage with technology in detail is key; this is a hands-on role. 

The candidate will have had delivery / implementation roles in the past, but may have moved on to pre-sales, consultancy, or other work based around selling and communicating.
