Region Infrastructure Environment Division is comprised of highly qualified and experienced individuals who deliver innovative and cost effective solutions in Environmental Management, Contaminated Sites, Water Resources, Waste Management, Water Wastewater Treatment, and Marine and Infrastructure Engineering for domestic and international projects.
Description:
We have a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a full-time Junior Environmental Professional to join our dynamic team in Burnaby, BC. Our ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in one or more of environmental sciences, earth sciences, chemistry, hydrogeology, and/or environmental engineering, and will be experienced in developing and managing environmental issues. You are skilled at developing innovative technical solutions, balanced with sound business performance, and have excellent knowledge of Environmental Acts and Regulations in BC. The following experience and knowledge would be an asset:
- Demonstrated experience with contaminated sites investigation, environmental fieldwork, reporting, regulatory permitting and various remediation/reclamation technologies in BC;
- A solid working knowledge of the BC Environmental Management Act and associated Regulations; and
- Professional experience in industries such as upstream/downstream oil and gas, forestry, power and mining within BC.
Job Requirements:
You have a relevant university degree with at least 1 year of experience in environmental site investigations and working for a range of clients. Eligibility for Professional registration with APEGBC or BCIA is required. Strong interpersonal, management and leadership skills, willingness to mentor and technical writing skills are also required. Additional requirements include computer skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.
