Environmental Technician

Job Description AECOM has immediate full-time temporary openings for Technicians from our Richmond, Virginia business operations to support Construction and Environmental Remediation projects on a local and national, extended travel basis. Projects range from hazardous waste excavation, packaging, decontamination, and maintenance of treatment systems to design/build construction projects for water/wastewater, force protection, parking lots and decks, etc. These positions are temporary full-time with no benefits. Applicant must have the ability to operate small power tools and small construction and remediation equipment and follow company safety guidelines. Applicants must be able to use and wear all levels of personal protective equipment and lift up to 49 pounds. Extended travel (up to 90%) may be required. Drug test, physical, and background check required. Prior job experience including chemical and contaminated media cleanup, field construction and demolition are a plus. Other requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate, and possession of a legal/valid driver s license.
