Epic Site Support Specialist (Intermediate or Associate):
Provides immediate end-user support to patient care business process teams to facilitate the introduction, acceptance, integration use of KP HealthConnect related systems. Performs basic hardware application support, workflow integration, troubleshooting, consulting on related applications.
Essential Functions:
- Provide end user support for the use of the KP HealthConnect system including other related system implementations upgrades.
- Respond to monitor service requests, diagnose, troubleshoot coordinate resolution of technical problems information technology issues related to the electronic medical record.
- Analyze situations in the clinical environment to resolve technical problems.
- Identify coordinate new processes, system functionality, system changes enhancements to support clinical information meet business needs.
- Facilitate the installation implementation of KP HealthConnect hardware equipment between IT departments, the patient care and business process teams.
- Develop processes to promote communicate the integration of new or enhanced business clinical systems into the business patient care setting their effectiveness.
- Provide basic training consulting to end users to facilitate learning of basic specialized applications.
- Lead classes for end users on HealthConnect application.
- Share knowledge learning w/ other Site Support Specialist.
- Supervision Received
- Demonstrate competency in most phases of HealthConnect application to work independently. Expected to pass proficiency exams.
- Work under general supervision of Lead or Manager.
- Analyze problems take corrective action.
- Collaborate w/ associates for problem resolution

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- 1-3 years related experience OR 6 months experience with the EPIC application.
- 2-4 years healthcare operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience (Associate).
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field preferred or equivalent work experience (Intermediate).
- Proficient with office suite type applications.
- Strong analytical ability and interpersonal skills to communicate with clients, other staff and vendors.
- Proficiency in HealthConnect Suites: (ie: ADT, Revenue Capture and Ambulatory, etc.).
- Knowledge of computer science theory or health care, application and customer support experience (Intermediate).
- Application and customer support experience (Associate).

Will consider candidates at either the associate or intermediate skill/experience levels.
