Equities Analyst

A leading financial institution that provides clearing and settlement services for a global client base, requires a Corporate Strategy / Business Planning specialist for their Equities trading business.

The Firm:

Recognised worldwide as a leader in the clearing and settlement of traded products, the firm's equity business covers cash equity derivatives, providing their clients with a range of products and services to optimise their trading processes and requirements. This unique role will focus on analysing existing services, enhancing management information and client reporting as well as executing the business's marketing strategy.

Reporting to the Senior Manager - Equities Business Planning and the Global Head of Equities, you will be deeply involved in defining the business strategy for the division and enhancing their client services.

Responsibilities:

• Development of key management information and business analysis to support business decisions
• Coordinate with various internal counterparts (in particular IT and Operations) to develop simple and efficient procedures to streamline the production of regular reporting
• Processing and ongoing maintenance of data files and report production
• Supporting the team through ad hoc analysis requests for client or management information purposes

Candidate Profile / Key Skills
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesise and present data effectively to support senior management decision-making
• Self-starter, able to work independently interpreting briefs intelligently and raising questions appropriately
• Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills with strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
• Previous experience in management reporting and development of management information
• Good understanding and experience in financial markets
• Preferable to have securities trade flow knowledge and familiarity with end-to-end cycle of securities products (in particular equities)
