Morgan Stanley is looking for an experienced product controller to join the Equity Financing Product (EFP) controller group. The EFP business houses Morgan Stanley's prime brokerage and financing swaps businesses.

This role is for a senior product controller, operating at a senior manager or equivalent level.

Responsibilities
• Understanding, reviewing and signing-off on daily Profit and Loss, including attribution, exposures for hedging and legal entity reports
• Key point of contact for the BU on all financial issues that impact the business
• Understanding and controlling complex, multi legal entity trade structures including the appropriate accounting treatment
• Dealing with various financial instruments including Futures, Options, Swaps, Certificates, Securities Lending and Equity Repo transactions
• Developing and presenting Business Unit reporting
• Leveraging relationships with other Finance teams and Operations to deliver for the Business and Finance
• Functional responsibility for a deployed team
• Month end validation of Balance Sheet.

Skills Required

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Previous product control experience (equities is an advantage)
• Experience of managing teams
• Strong controls awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise work effectively, to manage conflicting requirements and to deliver to deadlines
• Proactive and self motivated individual with a desire to learn.

Skills Desired

Professional accounting qualification (CA/CIMA or equivalent)
Equities experience and knowledge
