Equity and Prime COO Specialist recruitment
Main Function
The Equity and Prime COO Office is responsible for global business analytics, financial reporting, budgeting and forecast management across the group.
The focus of the group includes:
- Global Analytics
- Monthly and quarterly business reviews with our Front Office Partners
- Forecast and budget management
- Headcount reporting and management
- Continuous development of process improvements metrics and cost allocation transparency models to the front office
- Development of global client and internal metrics
- Partnering with our Finance representatives to enhance and develop robust financial reporting tools
- Creation of a cost per trade transparency model to get more visibility into the impact of overall operating costs to income
Main Duties
Specific responsibility is to provide dedicated support as a business partner to the Global COO Office. Responsibilities include:
- Organize and disseminate monthly/quarterly Equity and Prime Operations budget reports to peers and senior leads
- Prepare and chair global financial review meetings with the Global COO and MD to discuss monthly and year-to-date actual vs. forecast variances
- Engage with our finance partners to enhance and streamline daily processes, including but not limited to forecasting, accruals and invoice management
- Ad Hoc reporting and requests for financial analysis
- Develop effective headcount reporting metrics and cost analysis tools to ensure that we are operating effectively and within our defined targets across the group
- Consolidation of data points across the group to build and present a global outlook
- Conduct market data review and client profile maintenance
- Coordinate with Finance to ensure that baseline and new initiative spending is loaded, reconciled and tracked accurately in BPS
- Collate and distribute weekly and monthly highlights
- Arrange/chair various meetings that involves global planning exercises across Equities, SPO, SCM, Prime, Clearing and Margin Services related to our location Strategy, Footprint and Efficiency savings
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent
- 5+ years experience in Operations or Finance
- 5+ years experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- The ability to pass the Series 99 Registration exam within 120 days of start date to retain position, if applicable to the function of this role
Preferred Qualifications
- Equity or Prime background a plus
- Project Management experience a plus
- Currently holds a Series 99 License
