Equity Derivative Investment Banker (s) recruitment

Our client is a premier investment bank with offices located globally.  Join an innovative group that collaborates with derivative marketers and investment bankers to create quantitative strategies and analytics that lead to global transactions.

We are seeking individual(s) with experience building models to simulate and evaluate corporate income statements, balance sheets, funding and risk- management strategies including structuring and modelling customized derivative solutions across equities, rates and other products.

Necessary Prerequisites:

1.       Extensive computer programming experience for analyst role. 

2.       Minimum two years experience in the financial industry at a top tier firm and worked on derivatives (equities, rates preferably), quantitative modelling or structuring.  Minimum of 5 years for VP level.

3.       Derivative modelling and structuring skills, hands-on programming

4.       Basic knowledge of corporate finance

5.       Superior quantitative/analytic reasoning and problem solving abilities (resume might indicate high GPA in math, physics, engineering or mathematical finance degrees from top level universities)

6.       An undergraduate degree in a technical field (e.g. math, physics, engineering, mathematical economics or financial mathematics) from a leading university

7.     Strong oral and written communication skills including high level of fluency in English (resume might indicate high scores in verbal SAT/GRE, writing experience such as school newspaper)

8.     Reliable, results-oriented work ethic based upon responsibility, enthusiasm and pride in work

9.     Strong interpersonal, leadership, team-management skills with the desire and ability to play on a team

10.  Commercial intuition

Requisite:  If you are applying for the analyst role in London, you must have at least one year of corporate finance training.
 

If applying for VP role, please note that the location is New York.
