Equity Derivative Product Controller

Product Controller within the Equity Derivative Team. The derivatives team is subdivided between Exotics, Vanilla and Control/Initiative areas.
Products covered includes the full suite of equity derivative products alongside hedging instruments from other asset classes such as interest rates and credit.

Responsibilities:
Control and Analysis of various Derivatives desk trading activity including:
- Profit and loss reporting and analysis
- Position and risk profile analysis
- Liaison with the desk to resolve any trade exceptions
- Interaction with other key support teams including accounting policy, valuations and operations.
- Month end PL control and balance sheet governance process, including resolution of exceptions
- Ad hoc projects

Skills Required

- Investment banking product control experience including exposure to derivative products
- Good working understanding of financial products and their related issues.
- Proven numerate background
- Highly PC literate
- Change orientated
- Committed and self motivated
- Skilled communicator in maintaining and developing productive working relationships
- Highly developed attention to detail and accuracy, with an ability to interpret large amounts of complex data.

Skills Desired

- Ideally you will be a Qualified Accountant (CA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Mathematical background or degree (or equivalent)
