Equity Derivatives Production Support, Investment Banking recruitment
Job Description:
This critical position is to bolster the existing operate team to accommodate the expanding derivatives business in Hong Kong. The role will interact with local and global development and operate peers as well as provide the business users with an interface to technology.
The specific responsibilities are:
Immediate Priorities:
- Main business contact for day-to-day technology issues / requirements for the Equity Derivatives business.
- Understanding the Equities Derivatives business flow and providing expert application consultation and support to the Front Office and Middle Office.
- Working hand-in-hand with Front Middle Office to support trading, PL and booking of the trades from an application perspective.
- Develop key application expertise on the Global Strategic Equities Derivatives suite of applications, working with Global teams in London.
- Ad-hoc reporting for Front and Middle Office.
- Participate in key projects for expansion of the business to ensure seamless implementation.
- Ensuring the operate stability of the application suite and making sure that system capacity is actively managed.
Skills
Essential Experience, Skills Knowledge:
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Equity derivatives.
- Experience of working in front office trading environment
- Strong technical skills (Unix, SQL, excel)
- Rapid Application Development experience preferable using Excel.
Management/Leadership/Communication/Interpersonal:
- Self starter, able to work under own initiative
- Developed problem solving techniques
- Emphasis on communication skills and confidence in high pressure environment
- Self motivator with the ability to also influence others
- Experience in change controls, incident management
- Prepared to get involved in all aspects of a project and team management to ensure success.
- Structured approach to decision making based on rational analysis.

Education:
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
