Equity Derivatives Quant Developer (12-month contract) – (Preferably with Experience in GUI, C#) recruitment
Our client is a major Investment Bank with a worldwide presence. They are looking for an Equity Derivatives Quant Developer to be based in Hong Kong, to support and continuously improve the business.
Responsibilities:
Based in the Project Management team of Global Markets Asia, this role is the key person covering quant development for Equity Derivatives as part of the development of a core pricing and risk management platform for the Global Markets.
The role will be sitting on the trading floor in immediate vicinity of traders, sales and structuring personnel, to ensure close collaboration and inclusion of front-office requirements in the development work.
Requirements:
Technical skills
• Experienced GUI developer with C#, .NET, and preferably WPF
• Good knowledge of design patterns (MVVM, reflection, etc.)
• Ability to solve problems in a practical, pragmatic way. Not just text book answers but taking into consideration compromises such as time to market, phased deliverables
• Experience in developing multi-tier systems
• Work experience with agile methodologies is a plus
Business skills
• Experience in front office (work experience with traders sales is a must)
• Good knowledge of the equity market:
o Vanilla and basic structured products, including pricing and deal lifecycle
o Knowledge of the relevant market data (including a solid understanding of the volatility smile)
o Notions of risk management (from the trader’s perspective: PL explain / predict, risk matrices, etc.)
o Knowledge of some exotic products is a plus
