Global Equities Income Team
The Global Equity Income team's general investment strategy is to build a diversified portfolio with a focus on dividend-paying stocks. The team's philosophy is one of active, bottom-up investors who demonstrate a flexible approach that allows for investing across asset sectors, geographies and capital structures. They invest in securities of issuers with the ability and willingness to pay an attractive distribution today, with the potential to grow over time and they purchase these securities at times when market prices do not fully appreciate their value.

Position Summary
PIMCO seeks to recruit an analyst with 3 to 10 years post-MBA experience to be dedicated members of the Global Equity Income investment team. The ideal candidate will currently serve as either a senior analyst or junior portfolio manager in their existing role and have responsibility for new idea generation and/or strategic portfolio positioning.

The Global Equity Income analyst will conduct rigorous fundamental bottoms-up research across all industries globally and have extensive knowledge and experience in financial statement analysis, valuation and making qualitative assessments of companies and sectors. The candidate will be comfortable utilizing a range of valuation tools and be able and willing to act as a generalist across industries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for new idea generation, strategic portfolio positioning based on macroeconomic, policy, and currency views, tactical cash flow deployment and institutional marketing. The professional recruited for this position will benefit from PIMCO's strong reputation in global investing and will be able to leverage the substantial resources of the research-intensive environment at the firm. At the same time, he/she will be afforded the challenge and privilege of helping to build a new product area for one of the world's leading asset managers. The position will be based in Newport Beach.

Major Responsibilities
• Generate investment ideas for a global equity income portfolio, including performing analyses to support investment theses and assess upside/downside scenarios.

• Ability to conduct fundamental research using various approaches of valuation including: accounting based, DCF, SOTP, Multiples of Fundamentals, etc.

• Cultivate deep knowledge of companies, so as to develop an edge in understanding the company and triggers that impact its equity value.

• Perform fundamental equity analysis across geographies, sectors, market capitalizations and investments styles.

• Interact with senior company executives and industry experts to support views and generate further ideas.

• Demonstrate conviction and an ongoing commitment to refining one's view for the benefit of the portfolio.

• Work with the rest of the Global Equities team and other senior leaders at PIMCO to strategize about the development of new and related investment strategies.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION: KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Required Experience

• Three to eight years post MBA investment management experience, contributing to new idea generation and/or portfolio positioning in the following areas:

o Equity Analysis or Research

o Portfolio management

• Ideally, a global generalist with the ability to analyze securities in a variety of geographies and industries and the capability to analyze across the capital structure.

• Strong academic credentials. Preference for a C.F.A. charterholder.
