EQUITY OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE
Prominent Chicago bank-owned international futures, equities, and options clearing brokerage firm is looking for an experienced professional to join our Operations team. This position is involved with daily equity operations ranging from dividends, corporate actions, settlement and reconciliation.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Payment of dividends and processing of proper withholdings for foreign investors
- Communicating with clients and processing of corporate actions on their behalf
- Working closely with stock loan department on transfers and corporate actions
- Assisting with on-boarding of new clients
- Reconciling firm’s balances to DTCC and NSCC
- Assist in the daily ETF Creation / Redemption process
- Input on automation of current daily processes
Consults with:
- Operations, Stock Loan, IT, and Foreign Offices
- Clients
- Other DTCC Clearing Firms
- Options Clearing Corp Depository Trust Company
- Regulatory Bodies
- Vendors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university
- Minimum 3 years work experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- General knowledge of the securities industry
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to lead projects
- Desire to take on new roles and responsibilities
