Online Advertising Buyer/Agent Job in Salt Lake City, Utah US

POSITION OBJECTIVE:   This position will be responsible for helping to develop strategic and cost effective online advertising campaigns and helping to plan, buy, and analyze online media campaigns.

 

KEY RESPONSIBLITES:

·        Work closely with the Vice President of Media, as well as with the Creative and Online Advertising Production teams to secure and test online assets before they run, analyze ad performance and make needed changes while the campaign is active, and analyze the overall performance of campaigns to adjust future ad buys based on past performance.

·        Confident negotiator and have had experience personally interfacing with and securing the best deals from Google, Facebook, and other online ad networks.

·        Recognize unique ad-buying and promotional opportunities and be able to present persuasive POVs regarding these “opportunistic” media options.

·        Have a complete understanding of their assigned client’s media business and overall marketing objectives, works with the Bonneville Communications team to create and execute a media planning process, and is expected to provide mid-level strategic recommendations to the senior media team, account service team, and the client.

·        The media planner/buyer handles day-to-day management of online media buying, specifically interfacing with Google and Facebook ad representatives. They also assist with advertising execution details, budgeting, and accounting as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

·        Bachelor’s degree in mass communications, advertising, marketing, or a related field.

·        Experience buying and analyzing online media spends in an interactive digital agency environment (2+ years).

·        Experience in the development, presentation, implemention and optimization of interactive media plans and strategies including CPM and CPC media placements, search engine marketing, and rich media and online video placements.

·        Experience writing POVs and competitive analyses decks on various media in the digital marketplace.

·        Possess strong skills in math, analytics, and forecasting.

·        Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

·        Have a detail-oriented, organized, multi-tasking skill set and be able to work well under pressure.

·        Possess strong abilities and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint or Mac-based productivity tools (i.e., Keynote, Pages, etc.)

·        Experience planning and buying across print, broadcast, OOH, and email marketing experience is a plus, as is a knowledge of research resources (e.g., @Plan, Nielsen/NetRatings, AdRelevance, etc.) and other research/planning tools.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1.      Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.

2.      Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

3.      Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordination.

4.      Lift, move, and carry up to 20 pounds on occasion.
