Equity Research Associate Analyst
We are a large, independent investment management firm who are seeking to hire an Associate Analyst to join our London based Equity Investment team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Modeling corporate financial statements to assess potential future earnings and cash production.
- Evaluation of companies using techniques such as DCF models, P/E ratios and price-to-cash flow ratios.
- Supplement Equity Research Analysts knowledge of companies and their operations by researching companies, reviewing quarterly earnings and participating in quarterly calls company meetings.
- Handles projects such as analysis of competitive funds, managing stock watch lists for possible buys/sells, and quantitative screening of companies which in turn provides information to Portfolio Managers and Analysts that help make them more effective in their buy/sell decisions.
Required:
- Strong and demonstrable accounting financial modeling skills.
- Academic excellence (including a 2.1 Bachelor’s degree and 3 B's at A-level as a minimum)
- Strong interest and knowledge of financial markets, especially Equities
- Strong quantitative skills
Preferred:
- Personal and/or professional investment experience
- Competitive nature
- Completed/Part completed CFA (or willingness to study for it).
- Experience with market data services
This is an exciting, transitional role that will provide an opportunity to become an experienced, sector analyst over time.
