ER Advisory (Maternity Cover) recruitment

Job Purpose:

'The role will be for a minimum of six months with a possibility to extend.'
To provide advice to HR community on ER issues and policy; and develop appropriate ER strategies.

To work with the UK and EMEA HR population in implementing HR policy/practice. Job Background/context: - This role will have specific client coverage responsibilities (TBD).
- Considerable exposure to the HR EMEA Management team.
- Close liaison with Senior HR Business Partners and other Specialists
- This role will have an EMEA wide focus and the post holder will also be responsible for a dedicated group of countries within the region.
- The role will also provide support to those country CHROs it faces off to on an as needs basis.
Key Responsibilities: Advisory:

- Provide expert advice to the HR community on managing ER issues, and application of policy, custom and practice
- Partner specified HR Teams (to be defined) as a ER Specialist in order to anticipate and advise on their potential ER issues and support any business specific initiatives
- Provide support and guidance to specified country CHROs in relation to ER or policy issues
- Input into other projects within the UK and EMEA (both HR and business led) to ensure that the ER implications are considered and managed
- Take the lead role in major HR initiatives e.g. downsizing, acquisitions, business transfers, divestitures
- Undertake internal and external ER trend analysis and make appropriate recommendations

Origination:

- Partner with specified Senior HR Business Partners in order to develop business appropriate ER strategy
- Take a lead on and roll out Citi ER projects and policies on an UK/EMEA wide basis
- Take the lead in various working groups to develop new policies, documentation, practices and systems
- Liaison with external bodies and subject matter experts in the design/development of new policies and act as a source of best practice both within and beyond the sector including representing Citi on external ER forums
- Design and deliver ER training interventions for the EMEA HR community and business mangers relating to the implementation of new policies, procedures, employment legislation and best practice
- Work on global projects that have an EMEA wide impact to ensure that the ER implications are considered and managed Development Value: - Opportunity to lead and input into strategic HR initiatives

Skills

Knowledge/Experience:
- Extensive experience within an HR/ER related environment operating at a senior advisory level
- Thorough working knowledge and level of expertise of employee relations issues
- Proven track record in case management and providing advice and direction to senior HR and business managers
- Excellent up to date employment law knowledge
- Proven track record in project management and delivery
- Solid experience in drafting/editing policy documentation and ensuring legally compliant
- Innate interest in developments in employment environment
- Good understanding of the various functional areas within HR and their role/importance.
- Experience of working in a highly complex, international, matrixed organisation. Skills:
- Microsoft Office - all packages
- Knowledge of Peoplesoft and/or other HR systems Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree, preferably with a further degree/studies in HR/Employment Law, plus relevant work experience
