Risk and Compliance provide risk and compliance services across all BNY Mellon businesses. Organizationally, Risk and Compliance includes the following groups: Risk Management, Compliance, Global Corporate Security, Information Risk Management and Global Business Continuity. Risk Management oversees and delivers risk services and ensures new business risks are reviewed and approved. Risk Management is organized through Chief Risk Offices for each core business and critical operation. Risk managers provide shared support to BNY Mellon for operational risk services for Global Corporate Trust, Depositary Receipts, Treasury Services and Global Operations in EMEA. Compliance helps ensure BNY Mellon's businesses maintain appropriate processes to comply with applicable laws, regulations, BNY Mellon policies and ethics. This is accomplished through business- and business partner-specific teams of professionals, under centralized global management.

Description

Work with the various business departments to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications. Perform testing to ensure that all requirements have been met. Maintain project documentation in accordance with company s standards. Provide guidance and expert knowledge to the more junior Business Analysts on the team. Day to day work load management, prioritization and issue resolution are part of the responsibilities of the Lead Business Analyst. Familiarity with data warehousing and database concepts, financial and risk reporting and analytics. Familiarity with technologies used within the project(s). Financial/Risk Management industry experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

Knowledge of at least one of the following areas is required (risk management, Basel II, trade finance, derivatives, and securities). Experience with data analysis and hands-on SQL skills are strongly preferred. Experience using UML and Use Case Analysis is preferred. Quality Assurance testing experience a benefit. Must have proven experience in identifying project risks and issues, and making effective decisions. Very strong planning and project organization skills. Visibility within Risk and other internal organizations. Close working relationship with business and technology partners. Excellent leadership skills. Very strong negotiation, decision making, problem solving, influencing skills. Very strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and multitask in high pressure, high volume environment. Broad knowledge of the firm, key functions, and customer base. Bachelor degree. Management Information Systems or similar preferred. 5 years experience. 7 years preferrred.
