Electronic Systems seeks a Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive subject matter expertise on employment and labor in a Corporate environment and other matters related to government contracting and compliance. This position will provide comprehensive subject matter expertise to senior management regarding legal issues. This attorney position will focus on labor and employment law, and will also serve as an in-house generalist providing business partner support within the Electronic Systems sector.

Provide legal advice and counsel to management and Human Resources professionals on a variety of federal, state and international employment law matters, including EEO, OFCCP, NLRB, SCA, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FCRA, FLSA, Title VII, E.O. 11246, and USERRA.
Deliver sound employment and labor relations counsel and provide legal advice and strategic support, as necessary, in bargaining unit negotiations.
Establish best practices, templates, and training on employment and labor law and related matters. Stay abreast of new employment and labor laws and trends and report on them to HR and management, as appropriate. Conduct legal research and prepare written opinions on that research.
Screen and advise applicants and employees on post-government employment restrictions.
Assist in company investigations.
Serve as an in-house corporate generalist and business partner as required.
Interpret and counsel management and employees on a variety of legal issues, including government and commercial contracts, environmental, real property, and other corporate matters.
Assist in company acquisition and due diligence efforts, as needed.
Review and interpret company policies and procedures.

Required Education: JD from an ABA accredited law school and admission to practice law in a US jurisdiction required.
Required Experience: 12 years minimum experience. The candidate shall have a minimum of five years or equivalent of prior experience with a concentration on labor or employment law in a government or corporate environment.

Required Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as outstanding organizational and analytical skills required. Must be a self-starter, able to handle a multitude of complex and challenging situations and to work with little supervision.

Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance required.
