Estimator Job in Sydney 2000
Client
Our client is a leading global provider of process solutions and technologies for the mining and metallurgical arenas. Our client’s ambition is to become the leading provider of processing technologies across their skill sectors.
Due to a project award our client is looking for an Estimator to work in their Sydney Office with occasional site visits. The primary purpose of the job is to estimate and generate proposals for the Services Projects and Metallurgical teams. The role will also allow for engineering studies, turnkey and brownfield mining projects.
The position encourages you to participate in the process of proposal submissions containing budget estimates and scope of work. The work will deal directly with a mine site in a brownfield upgrade environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Costing, tendering and preparing proposals
- Assist in achieving annual order intake and budget
- Participate in commercial negotiations with clients and suppliers
- Participate in engineering studies
- Produce project schedules for tender purposes
- Create accurate budgets for proposals
- Liaise with engineering and drafting to ensure
- engineering study and project expectations are met
Qualifications
- Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineer/suitable metal trade
- 5 years’ experience in the minerals processing industry
