Estimator/Project Manager
Construction company specializing in insurance restoration is seeking an experienced estimator/project manager. Candidate must be able to sell insurance restoration projects to customers that meet their individual needs and to generate an estimate that reflects repair of the damaged property, bringing it back to its pre-loss condition, with a profit for the company. Must have at least five years experience in residential/commercial construction. Candidate should possess extensive customer service abilities, be self-motivated, well organized with strong computer skills and strong communication skills. Candidate should excel in delivering consistent, dependable, honest service through knowledge and integrity. Must be a team player to build relationships with clients and employees. On occasions spend long hours working on a particular project or facilitating emergency service.
Some specific duties are as followed:
Use appropriate and professional sales technique to close the sale with the insured, collect the deductible, have Work Authorization forms and change orders signed, and set the payment requirements.
Create the estimate in the company estimating software.
Create a list of all decisions the customer must make prior to the start of the job.
Plan for, oversee, and manage all phases of any assigned project; accept accountability/responsibility for the success of the assignment/project.
Communicate regularly and effectively with clients, adjuster, property managers, etc.
Determine expected completion date, material allowance, material take-offs, critical paths, plus staffing, equipment, and subcontractor requirements prior to commencement of work.
Review the time sheets of project personnel for accuracy and scope-of-work performance. Approve all payroll hours and submit to payroll for processing as scheduled.
