Overall supervision of 3 to 4 ETF Services Operations Group Managers along with the associated staff. Provide management direction, technical support, on the job training and development of staff. Manage the accurate and timely performance of daily and periodic custody, basket production and delivery, trade settlement monitoring and income collection responsibilities of the staff. Thorough understanding of all ETF fund types, the Investment Company Act of 1940, client requirements and industry trends. Strong technical knowledge of the IT platforms, regulatory and compliance requirements governing the ETF business and Bank policies. Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills for both internal management and client management. Ensures daily policies, procedures, practices and controls are clearly communicated, understood and complied with. Maintain an efficient and controlled operating environment in compliance with audit and regulatory requirements. Ensure high risk processes are adequately proceduralized and that breeches / errors are minimized. Maintain strong working relationships with clients, auditors, internal and external departments, custodians, brokers, transfer agents, vendors and Sponsors. Significant contact with Fund Sponsors and Investment Manager at senior levels. Significant contact with management from ETF support groups; transfer agent, securities operations, global trade settlement, and fund accounting. Contact with legal, risk management and internal audit concerning business/legal issues. Interact with the RM concerning client concerns and servicing needs. Address staffing, performance, human resource and budgetary requirements. Recruit and retain professional staff. Actively work with direct reports to ensure staff is appropriately rewarded and the work environment is enhanced. Represent the Bank at Industry events and discussions relating to the ETF business. Participate in service calls with clients on a scheduled basis, publish and circulate issues and formulate action plans around issues. Coordinate and lead presentations and meetings with clients and prospects. Prepare and present MIS to internal management of operations and budgetary performance. Focus on continuous process and procedure improvement in order to reduce risk and improve efficiencies. Develop and administer staff training program using resources currently provided by the firm. Identify / communicate gaps in available training and advocate with management addressing an gaps. Recommend and justify to senior management appropriate department staff levels. Recommend and justify to senior management changes to service model where opportunities exist to enhance service and create efficiencies. Ultimately responsible for client satisfaction.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance. Extensive knowledge of investment accounting and the financial services industry (ETF, UIT, Mutual Funds, etc). Excellent knowledge of daily accounting, financial reporting, tax and securities operations. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent analytical skills. Demonstrates leadership skills. Ability to innovate as new products come on board and new services are required. Ability to operate under strict deadlines and in a fast paced environment Essential. Identify process improvement opportunities, develop plans and implement enhancements. Proactively develop services that meet client needs and develop plans to implement services. Proactive. Accountable and responsible. Computer knowledge - Excel/Word/Bloomberg/Reuters/Lotus Notes. Minimum ten or more years of ETF, UIT or Mutual Fund Operations or related experience.
