This position will provide total Data Warehouse ETL and Technical Architecture designs solutions using Oracle, Informatica, and UNIX / Linux technologies. Perform designing, developing, and delivering large-scale multi-terabyte Data Warehousing solutions. Position will work closely with DBA, QA, and other KPIT groups in addition to having direct customer contact. We are looking for an individual with strong communication abilities for this challenging position.
ETL (Data Integration) Analyst/Developer will be responsible for continuing to advance the development of data integration data quality processes, maintain environments currently deployed in Southern California Region and provide strategic leadership on evolving environments. This position is essential to the Production Support Availability of the BI Analytics environments. This position will be responsible for leading Production Support resources to maintain the data integration processes, responsible for addressing Support Availability of the Production environments.
Essential Functions:
- Leading the design and implementation of ETL processes
- Building the ETL process to meet specific requirements
- Creating high performance and highly scalable ETL designs
- Establishing and implementing ETL best practices and guidelines
- Provide development and production support for the data mart environment
- Support health plan and clinical data extracts and marts
- Design, implement, and develop ETL processes against high-volume and complex data sources
- Perform Quality Assurance, unit and system testing as well as complete documentation of deliverables
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Five (5) or more years of design and development experience in Information Technology
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field or 9 years of design and development experience in Information Technology
- 4 years of dedicated ETL development using ETL solutions
- Experience with Oracle, SQL, UNIX and Shell Scripting etc.
- Experience designing, documenting ETL and tuning
- Experience with data cleansing and data quality processes
- Ability to analyze and design data conversions and integration tools, processes, and practices
Preferred Qualifications:
4 years of experience in data warehousing/business intelligence development and architecture experience (full life cycle)
4 years of experience deploying and supporting large, complex data warehouse/business intelligence solutions (full life cycle)
4 years of experience designing relational (conceptual, logical, physical) and dimensional data models for data warehouse/business intelligence
Experience with data integration tools
Understanding of reporting tools (SAS, Cognos, Business Objects)
MBA or MS degree is a plus
Strong Leadership, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
Experience in directing project teams consisting of Solutions Consultants, Program Analysts/Developers, Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, Infrastructure Engineers/Consultants, Quality Assurance Resources, Vendors, etc.
