Eurobond trader
Leading investment bank based in LONDON looking to add a senior trader to their FIC desk in the Eurobond trading centres in the world. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience trading Eurobond denominated in European time zone currencies in particular. The candidate must have a proven track record of generating strong PNL figures from market making and to a lesser extent prop trading. This bank has international reach and a very strong presence globally.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for primary coverage trading Eurobonds. The focus of the role will be to contribute to and increase the number of active investors to whom the bank deals in Eurobonds with by pushing the sales force and generating positive PNL figures. The chosen candidate will also contribute to the development and training of more junior traders on the desk. This role will have a broad mandate allowing flexibility with constructing Eurobond products that the market demands.

The role:
• Maintain and develop the banks dealing in Eurobonds across the European time zone
• You will work closely with the Executive Directors for FIC Sales and Trading
• Develop the UK client franchise by improving levels of business passing through desk and therefore profitability
• Trade Eurobonds denominated in the European time zone ( eg. MEX / BRL / ZAR / TRY )
• Manage own risk
• Advise clients and provide them with trade ideas
• Push the sales force and help build the franchise
• Manage and develop desk tools and database
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years industry experience in fixed income trading
• Must have market knowledge, interest, and experience in the Fixed Income industry
• A strong track record of Eurobond trading, with a particular focus on the European time zone ( eg. MEX / BRL / ZAR / TRY )
• Understanding of concepts like Eurobonds
• Knowledge of the Fixed Income and documentation process
• Ability to work under pressure and within an international environment
• Good understanding of UK regulatory feedback
