Working for a global eCommerce retail organisation, the European Commercial Strategy Manager / Senior Online Strategy Consultant / Senior Manager EU Pricing role involves leading analysis efforts to create strategy, working with the analytics team to recommend specific changes and then implementing across European territories to achieve commercial objectives.

The European Commercial Strategy Manager / Senior Online Strategy Consultant / Senior Manager EU Pricing will:
- Determine the pricing strategy across customer segments and EU territories
- Translate the financial plan in the coming years into a strategy for pricing
- Analyse analytically and qualitatively the options to drive sales and revenue through our pricing policies from both an external competitive and internal economics perspective.
- Identify how to use pricing incentives to influence customer and partner behaviours.
- Identify customers' needs / pain points / opportunities and how to address them through pricing changes
- Translate strategy into pricing changes - structure and manage projects which result in successful pricing changes and promotional activity. Establish the goals, work with the analytics team and other cross-functional stakeholders (marketing, technology/product, buyer and seller teams) to produce recommendations on what to change and how
- Own the go-to-market delivery for these changes.
- Manage the performance of pricing policies against our budget / financial plan
- Influence cross-functionally to make things happen: lead the process of aligning senior stakeholders in the business (regional leadership, finance, marketing etc) to launch pricing changes. Be a key partner with the wider team, with the need to integrate pricing strategy and policies closely with the other elements of the proposition.
- Work with global counterparts, especially in North America, to develop a shared agenda and vision for pricing.

Candidates for the European Commercial Strategy Manager / Senior Online Strategy Consultant / Senior Manager EU Pricing role must have a strong commercial strategy, strategy consulting, analytics, business intelligence, pricing or similar background. Candidates MAY have worked in strategy consulting for McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, Bain and Co, etc. Candidates could come from any sector, such as eCommerce, media services, retail, telecoms, financial services, utilities, airline/travel, etc.
Strong stakeholder management and project management are critical, to navigate a global matrix organisation, influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
The key requirements are analytical and commercial thinking, stakeholder management and project management.
