European Consumer Equity Research Associate recruitment
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop an expertise in the European Consumer sector
• Assist in the development and detailed modelling of company specific financial and reserve models
• Coordinate, generate and maintain research reports, presentations and databases
• Support and answer client queries as they relate to the sector
• Help maintain and develop sector-specific databases
• Help coordinate quarterly and year-end reporting initiatives
• Participate in and assist with morning comments
• Assist with special ad-hoc projects, presentations and initiatives as assigned
• Provide research support to analyst as required
EDUCATION /OR EXPERIENCE
Required
• Undergraduate and/or graduate degree, preferably with a concentration in Business, Economics, Finance or a highly quantitative discipline
• Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and detailed spreadsheet work
• Solid writing skills
• Strong PC skills specifically in Microsoft Office applications and sourcing data from the internet and various industry publications
• At least 2-3 years of overall work experience
• Preferred one year of previous professional experience in the related sector
• Strong preference for candidates with knowledge of the public financial markets
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines, sometimes for extended periods of time
• Strong work ethic, commitment to task and an attention to detail
• Good inter-personal skills and the ability to work and coordinate effectively within a team environment
