European Corporate Tax Manager
Opportunity to join growing financial services multinational in a senior capacity with scope for progression.
Main Accountabilities:
- Support management of the tax reporting processes for both USGAAP and IFRS including liaison with operations across Europe;
- Help manage tax compliance and tax authority audit issues;
- Assist in addressing international and particularly US cross border tax issues;
- Involvement in various ad hoc and ongoing group re-structuring projects;
- Development of the group transfer pricing policies;
- Interaction with other business teams to assist in the development of effective capital strategies.
Requirements:
- 5 to 6 years tax experience (second or third year manager from Big 4 background preferred)
- Professional qualification in accounting or tax
- Insurance, banking or other financial services industry experience preferred
- Previous experience of finance services in particular life insurance, USGAAP and US taxes would be beneficial but is not a requirement.
- European VAT and IPT experience
- Strong tax accounting knowledge would also be a desirable
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
- Sound written and oral communication
- Business level foreign language skills an advantage
