The Delta One Structured products business forms part of the Equity Financing Products Division. The role is for a Business Unit Controller working in the Analytical and Review team within the London office. The team partners closely with the PL Production team based in Glasgow.

The role will cover all aspects of control including:

• Understanding, analysing and commenting on structured products daily PL, and the attribution around products including Futures, Options, Swaps, Certificates, Securities Lending and Equity Repo transactions
• Close  working relationship with the Business Unit
• Close partnership with functionalised PL production team based in Glasgow
• Daily sign off of PL and review of PL for weekly Desk meeting
• Liaison with the Operations team to ensure good data quality
• Month end reconciliation and validation of the Balance Sheet
• Improving controls and streamlining processes
• Managing complex cross entity, multi derivative trade structures including understanding the tax implications and accounting for such
• Managing key risk controls of functionalised PL process
• Developing business reporting and risk schedules

Skills Required

- Fully qualified accountant - ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Strong academic record - 2(i) degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of market economics, especially around the Equity Markets, to comment on and understand the daily PL
- Accounting and tax knowledge to understand the structured elements of the business
- Maintains focus under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lead and co ordinate issues to their conclusion
- Well organised and able to efficiently work to deadlines
- Strong desire to learn and tenacious mentality
- Strong IT skills - good working knowledge of Excel - e.g. pivot tables, IF statements, VLookups.
