Event Driven Equity Hedge Fund – Asia Focus
A Hong Kong-based Event Driven Hedge Fund with a Asian equity market coverage is looking to build upon its successful team by adding a seasoned Event Driven/Special Situations Senior Analyst.
The candidate will have experience within equity special situations and fundamental deep-value research initiating asymmetric event driven investment opportunities on a global basis.
The role will report directly to the CIO of the fund, and will entail key deployment of value and soft catalyst situations using a fundamental research skill set, and the successful applicant will join as Senior Analyst.
With a team of five and capital under management that has seen steady progression since inception in 2008, the $500m market-neutral fund is looking to build with an experience Senior Analyst who can add value in their fundamental event driven equities team from day one, and so key relevant experience is essential.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Sourcing, and originating deep-value catalyst driven global opportunities which will be discussed and presented to the entire fundamental research team
- Initiating asymmetric event driven and special situations in global equities
- Focus will be upon the soft catalyst opportunities and a fundamental background is essential
- Key focus upon the Asian markets and strong knowledge of opportunities from a pan-Asian perspective
The right candidate will be able to demonstrate competent aptitude to add value in fundamental deep value with soft catalyst analysis and opportunism from their first day, and so key experience in this niche space is essential.
