Event Marketing Manager (6mth Max Term)*
About the Role
The Event Manager will work with the Sydney based Event Marketing team to strategically align events and conferences to that of the Group's marketing objectives and help manage executive client and staff activities from conception through to execution.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Event project management -manage high level events from conception to reconciliation, including all planning elements of an event (pre-event planning, management of budget, execution onsite including management of staff, presentation of final cost analysis, client survey)
- Event Reporting, including managing budgets, staying within strict parameters, and quantitative analysis of event effectiveness
- Ensure appropriate documentation of processes and policies to ensure business continuity
- Assist in managing preferred supplier relationships to maximise cost savings to the Company
- Follow Event Marketing best practice initiatives and maintain external benchmarking and industry profile
- Comply with Legal and Compliance guidelines as they relate to event matters
About You
- Skills, knowledge and experience required:
- Previous experience in corporate event marketing, ideally in a global Financial Services or Professional Services environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Finance Investment Banking industry
- Ability to think strategically, execute quality output under tight deadlines and long hours
- High level of creativity, ability to think "outside the box"
- Strong time management skills and ability to effectively multitask
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability/flexibility to manage confidently an event on an end-to-end basis, ranging in size from 10 to 1,000 attendees
- Strong leadership skills/risk management ability
- Broad knowledge base of suppliers/venues
- Proven contract negotiating and supplier management skills
- Superior oral and written communication and analytical skills
- Flexibility to work after hours at events and weekends where necessary
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
