About the role
Macquarie Leasing is a leading provider of finance leases to small to medium enterprises (SME), corporate, government and retail clients in Australia. The collections department is integral to the success of the business and its continual growth.
As the team leader you will manage a team of 15 collectors responsible for early arrears collection and cultivate high performance in a fast paced environment. You will also take ownership for the establishment of a strategic dialer focused approach to early arrears collections, to support the ongoing improvement of team performance and maximise results. You will also be responsible for:
- ensuring team members initiate the most cost effective course of action for resolving delinquent accounts and minimising losses
- ensuring team and individual results are achieved against agreed targets
- coach team members to negotiate payment arrangements which clear arrears adhering to policy guidelines
- positively guiding the team through periods of change in an environment of continuous improvement
About You
You will be an experienced collector and team leader, who has previously lead teams of collectors in a financial services environment (e.g. Lending/Credit Cards). You will have a history of developing high performing teams through the development and implementation of strong development and performance management practices. You will also have:
- Tertiary Education - desirable but not essential
- Experience in leading and implementing strategic use of dialler technology
- A working knowledge of all relevant legislation covering consumer and commercial environments

Note: Working hours - Full time hours (approx 37.5 hour week) to be worked within the span of 8am to 8pm weekdays and 8am -12pm on Saturday.
