Excellent opportunity for a Power/ Gas Salesperson/Trader recruitment
The role requires the individual to know the North American power market well and to have deep contacts in the market to stay in touch with market developments and needs. The role requires communicating with users, learning/knowing what users need and then synthesizing this to design financial models which can be used across the market by many users.
The trader should be prepared to keep ahead of any market developments so as to keep the models updated.
This position carries a high level of visibility and responsibility, which includes:
-Working with the Commodities Business team to develop a compelling/winning strategy for Power in North America
-Bringing visionary product ideas and deep market insight to the table
-Clearly articulating a strategy in a business plan, in senior management presentations, and in formal and informal communications across the firm, as well as with appropriate customers
-Working to understand customer needs and to identify and prioritize emerging marketplace trends
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience on a North American power and gas trading floor, ideally covering multiple geographies and term trading rather than spot.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid set of contacts in the power and natural gas trading industry.
- Ability to deliver a confident and compelling message in a sales or public speaking situation.
- High level of passion and caring about work product.
- Team player.
- High ethical standard Prior experience in project management
- Sales experience is an advantage, but not a requirement
- Ability to determine the difference between good and bad software function design
- Go getter with drive and initiative
- Ability to follow through on goals independently while communicating progress to team members
- Ability to join and contribute fresh ideas to an exciting market-leading commodity product push
