Executive Assistant - Operations Finance

Amazon.com is seeking a self-motivated individual for the role as the Executive Assistant supporting our Director of Operations Finance. The position will serve as the single point of contact for all administrative organization, managing scheduling, documentation, phones, and snail and email for the Director.

The Executive Assistant is responsible for arranging meetings and developing materials for presentations, travel planning and creation of detailed itineraries, headcount management, general office support functions, such as supply ordering, file maintenance, and direct support to the Director with regard to expense reports, appointments, etc. The ideal candidate is able to work successfully in a team environment, build effective working relationships inside and outside of the group, while keeping abreast of general business objectives, policies, standards, services, facilities, procedures and related information in order to maintain a comprehensive awareness of the organization.

The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented, organized planner with the demonstrated ability to respond effectively and efficiently while maintaining flexibility. The candidate will possess the ability to complete high volumes of tasks with minimal guidance or supervision and deadline sensitivity. As such, the candidate must be skilled at anticipating problems, creating contingency plans, managing multiple priorities, problem solving and organizing logistics. Key to the position is the ability to handle multiple projects at once and keep the Director organized, prioritized and on time while also serving as a "go to" for all areas and departments which dovetail with the Operations Finance department overall. This candidate will support the Director maintaining excellent rapport with the Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President of Operations, internal service providers, cross-functionally with other business groups and departments, employing insightful and knowledgeable communications inter and intra departmentally to foster a cooperative and communicative atmosphere in the areas which officially and unofficially fall under the Executive Assistant's purview.

• 5+ years work experience in a fast-paced executive administrative capacity.

• Ability to handle highly confidential information.

• Excellent written and verbal skills.

• Desire and aptitude for learning new concepts quickly.

• Positive, proactive, very detail oriented and driven to succeed.

• Ability to handle administrative details independently, while exercising good judgment in keeping team members adequately informed.

• Ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment.

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.

• Understanding of business structure and accounting concepts.
