position description

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
1.    Relieves Executive of all administrative detail.
2.    Follows up with staff meetings and other meetings as directed by the Executive.
3.    Prepares presentations, spreadsheets, and reports containing sensitive and confidential information.
4.    Maintains Executive’s calendar to maximize time efficiency; allow desk time and schedule appointments with the Executive’s best interest in mind.
5.    Arranges complex and detailed travel plans and itineraries and compiles documents for travel-related meetings.
6.    Screens incoming calls and correspondence and responds independently when possible. Maintains records and organizes filing and archive system.
7.    Schedules and organizes conference calls and meetings for the Human Resources staff and other committees chaired by the Executive if needed. Takes notes at Executive and Human Resource meetings as directed.
8.    Assists in Executive evaluations.
9.    Performs other job-related tasks as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications Needed
Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of three years administrative experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience in human resources.
Ability to use discretion and maintain the utmost confidentiality.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Must be detail oriented and have excellent grammatical skills.
Project management experience preferred.
Able to use personal computer to perform functions as described above.
Excellent interpersonal skills
