Role Description
This position will be responsible to manage the HRSD Shared Services group that supports the rest of the HRSD Service Center to deliver against all strategic (growth, financial targets) and tactical (timeliness, accuracy, control) objectives. Areas of employee life-cycle related activity include, but are not limited to
- Employee On-boarding (All Asia)
- Payroll Administration (India, HK, SGP, China, Australia, Japan, Philippines)
- Employee Off-boarding (All Asia)
- Employee Data Management (Global)
- Employee Record Management (All Asia)
- Employee Call Center (India site only)
- HR Application Support (Global)
- HR Accounting (Asia)
- Ex-Pat Administration
- 3rd Party Vendor Management
- Proactively manage operating risk related to Service Center. Implement changes as necessary to reduce risk profiles. Use professional judgment to identify and assess the risks posed by events, projects or transactions as well as the actions necessary to mitigate those risks; establishes or complies with risk management guidelines for the firm.
- Ability to manage expense to plan, create annual plan.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships between Hub and service recipients.
- Implement operating model with service recipients which optimizes experience for all stakeholders.
- Develop mobility, people management practices which ensure workforce continuity of at least 85 - 90% per year.
- Partner effectively with LOBs and clients to ensure strategies and operations are aligned with business requirements.
- Future evolution for this role includes oversight for all HRSD activities in Asia.
Skills / Experience
- At least 15 years previous experience managing complex operations required.
- Strong domain knowledge of Human Resources, especially Payroll, desired.
- Client Management Skills - Individual can identify, build and maintain mutually beneficial long-term relationships with internal and external contacts in order to deliver success to themselves and the firm.
- Willing to adapt thinking and behavior to suit the requirements of different situations. Sees the value of an alternative view in different situations and is receptive to changing circumstances.
- Ownership and Accountability- Takes responsibility for financial information, processes, policies and strategies.
- Ability to manage team of 400 - 500 individuals across multiple locations. Must be able to demonstrate experience with restructuring activities to better meet business needs.
- Strong written and oral communications skills (English). Ability to presents information and supporting ideas confidently and effectively to groups of people at all levels, including boards and committees across the globe.
- Partnering - Contributes to a collective effort that achieves more than the individuals could achieve working alone.
- Strategic Thinking -Takes a longer-term view and thinks about business issues in the broad context pf economic, social and competitive factors.
Work Hours
Standard work hours (8.30 am - 6.00 pm), may require to work extended hours (late or early) to meet team deliverables.
Open to work in shifts if required
Role reports to HRSD Asia Executive and locally to the Head of India HR.
Individual must have passport and the ability to obtain a visa to the US, if not already in their possession.
