Executive Director

American Classical Orchestra

Organization:

The American Classical Orchestra (ACO) is "devoted to preserving and performing the repertoire of 17th- to 19th- century composers, playing the works on original or reproduced period instruments. The musicians use historic performance practice techniques and pass these skills down to future generations through concert performances and educational programs." In recognition of this work, the ACO has been awarded grants by the National Endowment for the Arts. The orchestra has garnered both critical and popular recognition through its concert appearances.   ACO's 2012-2013 season will be at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center.

ACO has also developed an award-winning educational and out-reach program, Classical Music for Kids (CMK), to introduce children to the pleasures of classical music in an interactive, age-appropriate, entertaining format.  In 2006, the ACO received the prestigious National Endowment for the Arts award, “Learning in the Arts for Children and Youth.”
