Position Description:
An opportunity has arisen for a talented individual to join the Structured Secured Funding desk based in New York.
Structured Secured Funding ('SSF') is part of the repo desk which is in turn part of the Bank Resource Management division. SSF is responsible for raising long term secured funding in a variety of formats (loans, repos, swaps, note issuances) predominantly over hard to fund assets. The desk is involved in funding security assets (equities and fixed income), non security assets (such as loans, mortgages and swap receivables) and commodities. SSF works closely with other MS depts from the wider sales force to support functions (legal, accounting, tax, operations) to ensure effective origination, structuring and execution of trades.
Skills Required:
The role would be particularly suited to someone with a broad financing background (either a vice-president/executive director level) with experience of loans, swaps and repos and a mixture of skill sets including structuring, sales and execution. The successful candidate will be the senior representative of SSF for the Americas, they would need to show initiative in sourcing and structuring potential opportunities and be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
