Reporting to the General Manager Business UnitRemuneration you will Lead the Business Unit Remuneration Team inthe provision of remuneration advice and support across three significant anddistinct business units: Institutional Banking Markets; InternationalFinancial Services; and Business Private Banking.
More specifically you will:
- Lead the design, review, implementation and support for all theremuneration frameworks and solutions within your business unit
- Build relationships and influence senior executives to ensure that allremuneration practices of the BU adhere to the Group Remuneration Strategy andbroader governance policies / standards
- Effectively lead, coach and develop a team of remuneration consultantsand analysts to deliver remuneration consulting and support services for thebusiness units
- Advise line managers and BU HR on appropriate remuneration solutions toaddress business needs, leveraging knowledge of internal / externalremuneration trends / practices
- Work with line managers and BU HR, to agree the requirements for changesto existing remuneration policies and structures and make recommendations whereconsidered appropriate
- Lead transformational remuneration initiatives with your direct reports
- Contribute to the development of; and lead and implement Group Rewardprojects in your client Business Unit
- Provide project, consultative and analytical support to the BusinessUnit for their annual remuneration review
- Manage the area within budget limits to meet agreed performance targets,continually seeking ways to improve efficiency i.e. actively reduce costs,without impacting negatively on service
- Collaborate closely with the other teams in Business Unit Remuneration,Performance and Reward and Human Resources to ensure optimal remuneration outcomes
To be successful for this fantastic opportunity youmust have:
- A degree or equivalent in business, HR or a relevantdiscipline
- Significant experience in remuneration teams withinsignificant companies, including significant incentive design experience
- Understanding of financial services environment(internal and external)
- Ability to establish direct working relationshipswith senior management of BU and Human Resources colleagues
- Demonstrable achievements in managing situationswhere 'influencing' skills are paramount to achieving success
- Demonstrated people leadership experience,including coaching and developing
