Business Insight has arisen to join our Suncorp Life business, where you will work with and lead a team of motivated finance professionals who are dedicated to delivering exceptional results to our shareholders.
Reporting to the Head of Strategy, the role is required to support the design and implementation of robust financial management practices and systems for budgeting, forecasting, analysing and challenging financial performance of the business whilst maintaining best practice. This will be a challenging and rewarding position where you will be responsible for 4 direct reports and the following:
- Build, develop and maintain strong working relationships with key senior executives across the organisation.
- Manage the annual budget and regular forecast process from an end-to-end perspective including proactively managing expectations both from the centre and within the business with respect to deliverables and making ongoing improvements.
- Management and optimisation of the expense base for Suncorp Life.
- Preparation of regularly presentations to outline performance and challenges of business linked clearly to strategy and drivers.
- Provide support and advice to key executives running business units both directly and through team.
- Manage and develop a high performing team.
This is a key role and a rare opportunity to join the Suncorp Group at an executive level. CA/CPA/CIMA qualified, you will have strong technical and strategic experience from within a large, innovative organisation ideally within the life insurance industry. A proven track record of driving efficiencies and enabling performance is essential as are exceptional leadership skills. Being of high integrity, you will recognise and understand the interrelationship between operating/financing decisions and strategic implications. Succinct in style, you will work closely with the senior leadership team to address issues and deliver efficient, effective results.
