The Role:
Reporting directly to the General Manager for IT Engineering, the primary objective of the Executive Manager, Workplace Technology is to provide leadership and drive excellence, quality and performance in the delivery of all Workplace Technologies services forInfrastructure Technology and Operations customers, whilst also providing strategic leadership to the lifecycle management of Workplace Technology services for IT Engineering
Specifically, you will be required to carry out the following tasks:
- Drive project outcomes through deep technical and project delivery expertise
- Coordinate ITO input into Bank strategies and plans for Workplace Technology services
- Support IPD Relationship Executives in engaging and informing ES and CBA customers
- Provide SME advice to customers and stakeholders
- Ensure that plans align to architecture objectives and engineering standards
- Ensure that ES and vendor teams adhere to appropriate IT engineering standards
- Manage the technical components of the life cycles for services/ products
- Drive innovation in Workplace services
- Ensure project areas in scope for IT engineering meet project time, cost and quality
- Bring technical innovation and thought leadership to specialist areas
- Manage and improve the quality of operational performance and the reliability of services
- Management and leadership to the IT Engineering Workplace Technology team
- Ensure that effective risk management and governance processes are in place for all IT Engineering (Workplace Technology) services
- Develop and execute appropriate risk management plans
The Requirements:
In order to apply for this unique, challenging and highly rewarding opportunity with a high level of exposure to Senior Stakeholders, it is essential that you have worked in a similar capacity within a similar, high activity, busy and large scale operation recently, and can demonstrate the following skills:
- Deep technical understanding and expertise in IT Engineering (Workplace Technology)
- Understanding of CBA project management methodologies
- Experience of contributing to project teams and delivering project and business outcomes
- Strong resilience in order to ensure ES teams adhere to IT Engineering standards
- Manage multiple tasks and multiple stakeholders concurrently and sound commercial acumen
- The ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and external service providers
- The ability to add value and achieve optimum outcomes for the business
- The ability to work efficiently under time pressure
- Strong financial/ commercial skills and business acumen
