Exotic Equity Trade Review Analyst
My client a leading Investment Bank with an impressive track record for growth is currently looking to recruit a high calibre individual to join their Transaction Management Group (TMG), which is a dedicated function established within Markets to manage the transaction integrity in terms of efficiency and control.
The Transaction Management team total approximately 300 people spread across the different global teams (Trading Hubs: London, HK, NY, Tokyo / Offshore Teams: UKOC and Mumbai). The responsibilities of the team include Trading and Sales support for the different Businesses as well as acting as an independent control function. The Exotic Trade Review Team are responsible for reviewing the completeness and accuracy of Exotic trades payoffs and lifecycle events against termsheet and legal documentation.
Specific Requirements for the Analyst role involve:
- Responsibility for processing of Exotic Derivatives within agreed deadlines.
- Build and maintain proactive relationships with business colleagues.
- Actively processes support and control tasks related to the Exotic Trading Desks.
- Has detailed knowledge of Exotic OTC and Securitised Products.
- Acts as point of contact for day to day BAU support for ETR activities.
- Highlights exceptions and deviations from the ETR processes and escalates these to the team manager where appropriate.
- Contributes to providing solutions for improved efficiency and control of operational processes.
- Monitoring bookings to agreed standards.
- Helps to identify and assesses opportunities for process developments and improvements.
- Timely processing of exceptions relating to day to day BAU support of the Exotic processing function (Escalation to Team manager where required)
- Identifies and communicates problems and issues to the team manager and is responsible for the timely action of tasks to resolve the issue.
- Manages and organises own tasks to maximise effectiveness.
- Manages time and prioritises effectively.
- Deals with Exotic queries/requests in a timely manner.
- Co-ordinates general queries arising from management and operations personnel.
- Resolves problems/tasks himself/herself or co-ordinates and advises staff (colleagues, management) involved in resolving them.
The candidate should have:
- Knowledge of Exotic OTC and Securitised products activities is an advantage.
- Have a motivated ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to think on their feet.
- Some understanding of Operations and the pressures faced by a Middle Office team.
- A strong written and verbal communication style.
- The ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and operate in an environment. where mutual respect exists.
- Personable and approachable.
- A strong Team player.
Useful additional skills
- Strong technical/mathmatical education. Understanding or knowledge of derivative legal documentation
